Cinema Libre Studio is a haven for independent filmmakers with views, offering one-stop shopping for production, post-production, distribution and international sales. Headquartered in Los Angeles, the company is best known for distributing socially conscious documentaries and independent features in theatres and on DVD. Socially conscious documentaries supported by grassroots outreach have included: Robert Greenwal's "Outfoxed and Uncovered: The War on Iraq"; Tim Robbins' "Embedded Live", "Voices In Wartime", "Darfur Diaries", "McLibel", Participant Productions' "Angels in the Dust", "Desert Bayou", "Giuliani Time". Art house and independent feature releases have included, "Raising Flagg" with Academy Award winning actor, Alan Arkin, "My First Wedding" with Rachel Leigh Cook and "Waiting for Dublin" with Andrew Keegan. The company has recently brought the films of French auteur, Jean-Jacques Beineix ("Diva", "Betty Blue") to the US Market with a retrospective at the American Cinematheque in Los Angeles, the release of "Betty Blue: The Director's Cut" in theatres for the first time and the Jean-Jacques Beineix Collection, a series of seven DVDs plus the box set.
On the production front, Cinema Libre Studio has been working with up-and-coming talent on several films which have won awards and acclaim on the festival circuit including: Conventioneers by Mora Stephens which won the Independent Spirit Awards' John Cassavetes award and Tre by Eric Byler.
